There was a still further decline in the entries in the Lincoln breed of sheep this year, and a c6mparl.*on show* that thoy have fallen off by over 50 par cent, since the 1910 show. P?nsidering tho poorness of the'competition and the few breeders who had seat ia their sheep for exhibition, the show ifu not at all bad, but it is doubtful if much improvement can bo noticed in quality over the sheep.shown last year. Tho entries for the last Shows wero aB follow?-— 1910 ... 09 • 1911 ... 40 1912 ... 34 ' There wero only fivo breeders represented, and the judge, Mr R. Breinsr, had a moderately easy task, compared with that which faced somo of tho adjudicators. The champ*onsh:-p for rams went to tho ono solitary entry put in by Mr T. S. Little, but ho was a good one. as the result showed, and also got home in tlio open class, bo far as tho rest of the awards went, it was tho New Zealand and Australian Land Company's Moeraki rewcaentatives first, and the rest Homewbero m the rear, for they took % practically aU tho firsts nnd seconds in rami, and ewes together, with the reserve for rams, and both the ewe championships. Of the other exhibitors, Messrs A. Witholl and R. D. D. McLean both secured blue cards and minor awards. .
