(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGIIAM.) GISBORNE, October 1. Some anxiety is felt in local shippingcircles respecting the safety of the schooner Awanui (Captain Barnes), which left Gisborne for Mercury Bay in company with the'ketch Coronation at 7 a.m. on September 9th. On Wednesday last tho Coronation put into Tologa Bay for stores, nnd reported that both veasels had been blown to sea, and thc Coronation had partc<i company with the Awanui on the 22nd. No word has since been heard of the Awanui.
