(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, September 30. Robert Muir Thompson, the three-year-old son of Mr T. M. Thompson, of Waiuku, was killed by a gate falling on him. TAIHAPE, October-1. Two men, Fred Allen and Jos. Reardon, were killed in the bush belonging to Booth's mill, Hitiati, this morning. Allen was a married man. DUNEDIN, October 1. A young lady who received a great mental shock recently, managed to get away from her home in Cumberland street North on Saturday. She left a note stating that she was going by the second express en route for Wellington. It is certain'that she never got to Wellington, and fears are entertained for her safety, considering her very low state of health. She was about sft 7in in height, had amass of dark brown hair; brown eyes, and two small moles on her face.
