THE WAIHI STRIKE.
THE QUESTION OF RESUMING WORK. (press association telegbam.) WAIHI, October 1. Affairs are quiet hero to-day. The new Union office is being picketed by the strikers, and a conspicuous feature is the flying of the Union Jack over the building. The Waihi Grand Junction Gold Co. has intimated that work for miners and others is now available at the mine, and that applications personally or by letter will be received.
