AKAROA CLUB.

The twenty-eighth annual general meeting of tho Akaroa Boating Club was held in tho boathouse last week. Mr C. "W. Leete, president was in the chair. The balance-sheet 6howed expenditure £73, and receipts £103. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Hon. K. H. Ehodes; president, Mr C. W. Leeto; vice-presidents, Messrs E. E. lielievre and W. II Hemming; captain, Mr i. Lewitt; deputy-captain.,Mr M. Kearney; hon. secretary, Mr C. Hall; hon. treasurer, Mr L. Haylock; assistant treasurer, Mr E. Julius; committee, MesFrs C. Goodwin, P. Wostenra. B. Hemming, C. Walker, H. Newton, W. Parkin, and A. Weatlake; delegates to N.Z.R.A.. Messrs P. Lynskey and S. Pickett; racing committee, Messrs C. Goodwin, H. Hemming, end F. We3tcnra; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr A. R. Jacobson.

Seven new members were elected, and tho onpnins day waa fixed, for Thursday, October 10th.
