While a little more business has been noticeable rathe wheat market, there is no activity, and pucphases are only made where the price suits or where varieties are wanted for mixing. Tho best price paid was 3s 8d for 600 sacks of \ elyet net at a country station, but other lines were bought at 3s 7*d and ii net *} countr y stations. Tuscan sold at 3s 7d, less commission, ahd other, lines of the same wheat at 3s 6d and 3s ojd. Redchaff brought 3s 6Jd, reducible by brokerage. It is believed that there is only a
limited supply of oats in the district. B grade Gartons sold at 2s net at a country. station. Merchants do not care to do business in potatoes, as it is improbable there will bo further shipments to Sydney this season. Derwents sold at £6 os, and Up-to-Dates at £6 to £6 5s net on trucks. These were small lines.
