On account of tho wet weather recently stock sale on Friday was below the average, but there was a good attendance of farmers anc' others, duo no doubt to it being horse parade day ? and to the fact, that farm work was interfered with by the wet weather. The entry of sheep comprised only two or three small lots of fat which brought very satis* factory prices. Beef was also in'good demand, and prices were very firm. Fat pigs showed little if any change, and the demand for store cattle was quite as brisk as at recent sales, most farmers having plenty of feed. Fat wethers ranged from 18s 8d to 30s. Bacon pigs made 56s to 725, equal to sid per lb, porkers 42s to 53s 6d, equal to s£d per lb, largo stores 30s to 45s 6d, medium 18s to 275, and small from 10s. Fat cattlo realised £5 to £6 15s, springers, for which there was a fair demand, £4 15s to £10, cows in milk to £10, two-year-old steers £5 17s 6d, nine-months-old cattle £2 15s, Jersey bull £5 5s
