Prom a scrum in thc Port twenty-five, Linwood secured the ball, and Watts setting his backs afoot saw Hooper, Yates, and Jack handlo the ball in-succession, the last-named giving a fine pass to Piercy, who dashed over. Dixon failed at goal. In a loose rush near the end of the s-pell, Dixon failed to gather the ball, and McGerty scored. Play m the second spell was of a fast and open nature, each side making desperate, but unsuccessful, efforts to score, and the match ended without any further scorn.
