SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
MORE BAD WEATHER PREDICTED. ILt D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— The weather improved in most parts of tho Dominion on Saturday and Sunday, but a small westerly. area of low pressure hoe pas sco in tho South, while a cyc.cnic system has developed to-day in tho North, '.with, increasing easterly and southerly winds. Present indications are ior easterly to south-oasterly winds, strong .to galo, with heavy rain and rivers r.cing, especially on tno East Coast, and snow **n tho' higher levels, with colder weather Tollowing. Tho barometer will probably tall further in the North, but continue to rise unsteadily in iho South.
