LEESTON.

The induction of the Rev. R. H. Blair to the charge of the Presbyterian Church at Leeston took place on Friday afternoon. The ministers present were the Rev. Dr. Erwin, the Revs. J. S. Reid, J. Pringle, M.A., W. T. Todd, and R. W. Jackson. During the service Dr. Erwin put the usual questions to the new minister, all of which wero satisfactorily answered. The church choir led the singing of several hj-mns suitable to the occasion. In connection with tho induction a social meeting was held in the Town Hall in the evening, during which a musical programme of a very high order was given, and a purse of sovereigns presented to the Moderator, Dr. Erwin.
