A message from Sydney states that a definite point has at last been reached in the legal battle in connection with the sugar case. Mr Lamb, counsel for the sugar company, concluded his address after speaking for thirty-seven hours.
A deputation from the Temperance Reform League asked tho Premier of South Australia to give the electors power to voto license or no-licenso. Mr Peak said that the travelling public had to be considered, and he could hold out no hope that tho Government would introduce such a measure.
