DONKEYMEN ON STRIKE.
RELIEF SHIP HELD UP
THE EMPLOYERS' RIGHTS
Hundreds of strike-breakers aro reaching the docks to-day.
A privately organised" civilian force escorted numerous workers to the docks last night.
Tho "Shipping Gazette" states that tho Shaw, Savill Company's donkeymen haro struck, including those onffaged with the refrigerating on tho Wnimana and Itangatira.
Tho Shipping Federation's vessel, Lady Jocc-lyn, tilled with free labourers, attempted to enter the Albert Dock to replace tho donkeymen, but the Port Authority refused her it is reported, in consequence of Mr McKenna's stand against the strikers.
At a spccinl meeting the London Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution affirming tho right of employers to engago either unionists or non-unionists, and urging tho Government to afford them ite protection.
