Tlio tramways are too expensive a mcuns of transport, for tho average working man in this city, and that's iv fact. 'lake the ca.se of tho man who lives on a twopenny section, and who goes home to his lunch. Even -with a concession card he has to spend about 4s n week for riding to and from business alone, and • with other trips his weekly expenditure is generally ss. That means £13 a year in tram fares. Now. if that mau had a bicyclo ho could save that drain on his income. And a good reliable bicycle is just at prevent within tho reach of anyone. The smaller a mans' means tho less lie can afford tram fares, and tho moro IT-'cessary it .-:■-, that he should have a bicycle. * Now we are showing every night in our electrically lit windows a sample lino of the second-hand bicycles wo n-ro offering in our annual stocktaking sale.
