Sho encountered a series of gales, in ono of which a big sea carried her wheel and two seamen, named Carson and Braste, overboard. Both wero drowned. Tho vessel was itncontrollablo till nno- ! ther wheel was fixed, and sho rolled and strained alarmingly, A galo stripped her sails and did other considerable damage. Tho deck cabin was flooded, and a great part of her stores spoiled. In tl*,.** height of tho storm tho first mate, named Fo.vles, was found dead in hi** cabin from heart failure. i
