SADLER BEFORE THE COURT.
REMANDED FOR A WEEK. Walter Richard Sadler, who'was remanded to Christchurch from the Magistrate's Court, Wellington, on Tuesday, made, his appearance before Mr H. W. Bishop, .B.AL. at the Christchurch Court, yesterday. Owing to the lato arrival of the Mararoa, it was not till past twelve o'clock .that the Drisoner entered the dock, and by that time the expectation which had been noticeable earlier in tbo morning "had died down, and the Court was not attended by curious spectators. The charges brought against him were to the effect that on two occasions, namely, on April 26th at Wellington, and on the Bth of the same niontn at Kaiapoi, he used a certain instrument for an unlawful purpose on a girl. On the application of Chief' Detective Bishop, he was remanded till Wednesday. Alay Bth. Bail was allowed,' accused in £150, and two sureties of £73 each, this bein" , the same ,baij which he had been allowed by the Wellington Court.
