Australian and China trades for some time to come. "The Times" speaks of lack of support, for the suggestion that negotiations are proceeding for a still closer understanding between the P. and O. and the other companies in •the. Fur Eastern und Australian shipping trades; and suggest* that the undoubtedly strong, financial "position of the P. and O. Company may have'stimulated buying by powerful interests,, possibly with the idea of securing a considerable degree of influence.
