RAISING FUNDS FOR CHAMPION'S EXPENSES.
(fbsss association tzleobah.) WELLINGTOiN, April 30. The executive of the Now Zealand Amateur Swimming Association has resolved to issue subscription lists to every swimming club affiliated to the Centre, asking for Is subscription from every member, to defray the costs of M. Champion's visit to Stockholm. It is hoped that a substantial amount will bo raised, as Champion is now on his way to England. The Centre voted £2 towards the movement. Tho management oommittco of tho New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, in a report to be presented at the general meeting of tho Council of that body nest Thursday, etates that the sum of £10 was given towards the expense of sending Mr G. N. Hill, of Auckland, to tho Stockholm Games. Advice has been received from England that Wilding will represent Australasia at Stockholm.
