Tho splendid booking recorded for tho seven representations of tho successful dramatic spectacle "Everywomau," which will commence its career uv tho Theatre Royal 10-morrow night, is a clear indication that playgoers are looking forward to Jin entertainment out of tho ordinary. The booking is not quite so large for (Saturday as for subsequent nights. ''Everywoman" is tho kind of play that appeals to every section of tho community. Playgoers will Iμ? glad to welcome tho brilliant actress, Slisa Hilda Spong, who created a sensation in Australia by her interpretation of "Everywoman." Walter Browne, the author of "Evorywomnn,"' it is snid, has overcome the difficulties arising from the necessary transfer of ideas from the allegorical to tho actual. This not only serves for tho display of nimblo wit, but calls also for tho willing aid of n readiness to mako-beliove on the part of tho listener to this drama of spectacular effect and charming music. Thus the life progress of tho heroine, from tho shelter of hor happy homo to tho riot and revelry of a theatrical career, thence to inevitable disillusionment and sorrow, and finally to tho quiet circle within which truo love and happiness await her repentant return, is followed with the keenest interest in tho ideals of tho story and in tho moral lesson it conveys. Mr William Desmond, who will mako his reappearance hero in tho role of Nobody, has already earned distinction in New Zealand by meritorious performances. Tho scenery and effects have already come to hnnd in charge of a staff of mechanics. The box plans aro at Milner and Thompson's, -where scats in central positions can be selected in either the dress circle or reserved stalls. Tho scenery and effects for "Everywoman" arrived by the Monowai yesterday, in charge of a largo staff of mechanics and electricians, so that already everything is prepared for tomorrow night's performance. "Everywoman" will bo staged for seven performances, and on Monday week tho last four nights will bo devoted to a production of "Passers By."
