THE LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION.
Mr W. F. Massey, the Leader cf tho Opposition, left- for tho North lastevening. Mr Massey said that- he had had a particularly good time during his visit to the South Island, and he considered tbo political outlook very satisfactory. Ho intended to revisit Canterbury at tho earliest opportunity, and to spend a fortnight in this province. Ho was unable to say whether ho would bo- able to coißo south again before tho House mot, but when ho did make- his visit ho would speak in Chnstchurch. Tho probabilities were that if ho did address a public meeting Iveforo tho House met it. would be in Auckland. Ho wr.s waiting to hoar what tho Government had to put forward in the way of n policy, nothing having been heard yet- from that side of tho House.
