BROADFIELD

A complimentary social was tendered to A.lr J. Bean. Airs Mills, and the Misses S. and C. .Mills on March _oth. in the Rroadficld school, on the occasion of their leaving the district. Air A. Dennison presided over a large gathering- During the evening Air J. T. Alonro presented Air Bean with a silver-mounted dressing-ease on behalf of his many friends, and in doing so said that all regretted his departure from file district. Air W. Early made i presentation of a silver ten sot to Airs "iiils. .Mr P. Ryan presented the Atisses S. and G. Alills with a gold broooh each- as a remembrance of their friends- Air Bean suitably thanked those present for the gilts, both to himself, his mother and sisters. The rest of the evening was spent in songs and recitations.
