BURNSIDE MARKET.

At Burnsido to-day 18C fat cattle were yarded. The bulk of the entry consisted ol cows and heifers, very few heavy-weight prime bullocks being forward. The sale was a dragging one, with prices slightly lower than last week's rates. Best bullocks brought £10 to £11 10s, medium_to good £7 15s to -9. light £6 to £7. best cows and heiters £7 to £S, medium £5 5s to £6, light £4 to £3.
Fat sheep—lSl7 were penned, the bulk of tvhich were medium to inferior ewes, with very few pens of prime wethers. There, was very good competition for all prime sheep at an advance of Is Cd to 2s per head for prime wethers, and about Is for prime ewes, while medium and unfinished sorts ruled at about the samo prices as last week. Prime wethers brought 18s Gel to 20s. extra to 23s Cd. medium to good 15s Cd to 17.5. light 12s 6d to 13s (id, best ewes 15s Gd to 17s. extra to 20s. medium to good 12.s Cd to 14s. light and interior 9s to lis. Fat iambs—ll22 wero 'K-nned. Theso met with good competition, and late rates were well maintained.
