RIVER BOARDS.
MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA
The Mandeville and Rangiora River Board met last Thursday. Present: — Messrs J. G. Doak (chairman), Hughes, Power, Northland and Young.
A letter was read from the Rangion Road Board in reference to the Board making provision for the outlets across the Camside road, also enclosing tho opinion of Mr F. F. Martin, counsel to the X.Z.C.A., as to the Road Board's liability to provide culverts and make roads. It was resolved that tho Rnugiora Road Roard he asked to furnish a copy of the letter to Mr F. F. Martin on which his opinion was given. W. M. .Smith complaining of tho willows along the Ohoka creek obstructing the flow of the. water through Mr W- H. Clark's land thereby causing damage to his land through the overflow of the creek iv time of flood. Tt was resolved that when the creek is cleaned the surveyor will report on its condition. Tenders were accepted as follows: —Cleaning river Cam Rate nnd Grible £120, Ohoka creek west, J. Kins £6.
