ENGLISHMEN REACH LONDON. United Press Associ«tion—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 7. The English cricketers who lately toured Australia, have arrived ot London. Warner states that he is feeling as well as ever, and hopes to be able to play again almost immediately.
On Thursday a team from tho Veterans Club visited Burnham. accompanied by their wives and friends. On arrival they were shown over the building and round the grounds. In the afternoon a. match was played, the Veterans -winning 'iv an innings and 40 runs. Scores:—Veterans 233 (Bascand 67. Bloxam 26. Stilhvell 37. .1. W. Prebble 23. H. Lawrence 4-j not out. Barrett 12): Bumham 92 and 95 (McNeill 10. McFarlane 11 and 17. Ross 13 and 10. Powell 17. Donaldson 23). Bascand, Bloxam. and Bridge did the bowling for the Veterans, and Bissctt and McFarlane for the losers. After noon tea was provided, the visitors being most hospitably entertained by the managers (Mr and Mrs Archey) and the staff.
