FOOD COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
(Received March 26th, 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 20. Tho Food Supply Commissioner's interim report, dealing with tho auantity of fish, has been tabled. He etates that during the past decade prices increased by 30 to 100 ncr cent. Supplies wero irregular and when there was a glut in tho markets tho consumers did not benefit. Although he was unable to traco tho existence, of a ring, the position was thoroughly unsatisfactory. He lecouimcnrLs tho development of deep-sea trawling by the Government.
