SHIPPING NOTES.
The Shaw, Savill' and Albion steamer Baagatira is due here on Friday from Wellington,, and will leave on-Saturday for Bluff to complete loading. The Shaw,* Savijl and Albion steamer Delphic" arrived at London on Monday morning after a passage of 51 days from Auckland. The Tokomaru arrived at London on Sunday evening, after a passage of 53 days from Wellington. . The Shaw r Savill and Albion liner Athenic, •which arrived at Wellington on Saturday left London on February 3rd, two days late, and Plymouth the following day. Colls were made at Tcneriffe, Capetown and Hbbart. and at the Tasmanian port the vessel landed 146 passengers and lOfiO tons of cargo. The Athenic brought 546 passengers to New Zealand, and 8000 tons of cargo for.discharge at Wellington ' and Lyttelton. B. Langlands; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr C. Newton; second, Mr Li. R. Mangus; boilermaker, Mr■!!.■ Eastwood, electrician, Mr W. Hanlon; purser, Mr S. C. G. Freeman-Matthews; . chief steward, Mr J. A. Rigby; wireless operator, Mr J. Murphy. The Athonio has 2300 tons of cargo for Lyttelton, and will arrive here on Sunday to complete discharging. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otaki has been delayed nt Waitara, but is due at AYellington to-morrow. She will sail on Saturday for London via- Monte Video. Tho Fodcral-Houlder-Shiro Line steamer Susses from West of England, via way-ports and Wellington, will arrive here this morninjr, aud after landing 950 tons of cargo, will sail about Saturday for Dunedin and* Bluff to complete discharging. The Sussex will load at Port Chalmers, Bluff, Wellington, Tima.ni and Lyttelton for West of England porta, and will sail finally from Lyttelton for Avonmouth on April 23rd. Favoured by the northerly winds of tho last two days, a small fleet of schooners made port yesterday. The first to arrive was the Morning Light, sis days out from Waitapu, and she was followed by the nuxiliaryscrew scow Echo, from Karamea. Tho Eliza Firth, eleven days out from Kaipara, arrived later in the day, and the Amelia Sims, from Havelock, followed her. All the schooners have full cartroM of timber to discharge hero Mr P. McMorran has been promoted to third engineer of the Mokoiat in place of Mr C. J. Styche who has left the vessel. The Moana is due at Wellington this morning with 129 passengers from Sydney, and will arrive hero on Friday rooming. She will sail the same day, on arrival of the 4 p.m. train, for Dunedin, Bluff, Hobart and Melbourne. The. Mararoa will bring no carco from Wellington on Saturday night. She will be docked at an ,early- hour on Monday for cleaning and repairing, and will leaves as usual in tho evening, for Wellington. The emn.ll steamer John is duo hero tomorrow with a load of timber from Hokianga. The Opouri left Greymouth. on Monday evening with a full load of timber for Wellington, and is duo here about 11 a.m. today. After discharging, sho'will return to Greymouth. The Wootton sailed last night with a load of wheat for Motueka, and will proceed thence to Nydia Bay to load timber for Lyttelton. The, Kairaki is due here to-nisjht with a load of sheep from Pelorus Sound.
