ST. PATRICK'S DAY

St. Patrick's Day was celebrated yesday very quietly, the only indications of tho day being the display of green ribbons and buttonholes, and tho closed doors of the banks. In the evening a St. Patrick's Day concert was held in tho Theatre Royal in aid of tho Nazareth House, and attracted a large patronage.

Tho St. Patn'ok's Day sports at Goraldine yesterday were postponed indefinitely owing to wet •weather. Rain commenced to fall about 10.30 a.m., and continued throughout the day.
