LEVIN, March 15. William Henry Bignal, caretaker of the Levin schoolhouse, was found dead yesterday morning, hanging to a ladder in the school. Ho had been strange in his conduct for some months past-
WELLINGTON, March 16. William Reevo, a clerk in the Stato Coal Department, shot himself at Paparangi, near Johnsonville, this morning. He went out early, saying that be was going to shoot rabbits, and later his body was found with a gun beside it. Part of the head was blown away.
At tho inquest the evidence showed that Reeves, who was 48 years old, and a married man, had no worries, was of a cheerful disposition, and enjoyed good health. Thero was nothing to snow how the fatality occurred. A verdict was returned of death from injuries from gunshot wounds accidentally received.
Alfred Leigh was found this afternoon lying on tho floor of a room which ho rented in Taranaki street, with a small cut on the inside of the left forearm. A razor was beside himHe was removed to the Hospital, where he died shortly after seven o'clock. He was 39 years old, and was employed by tho Wellington Gas Company.
A singlo man named James Turley, aged 24. was brought into town to the Hospital by train last night from Glentunnol, suffering from injuries receivein a coal-mino. A mass of coal fell on his head whilo he was working, both his eyes being badly hurt.
