SUPPOSED SUICIDE OF A YOUNG WOMAN.

A young woman named Esther Rovelcy, single., about 26 years of age, employed as housekeeper by Mr C. Eaves, of Racecourse Hill, was found lying dead on hor bed about 7 p.m. on FViday. Sho had been about the house as usual during tho evening, and appeared to bo in her usual stato of health and mind, except that sho had complained of a headache. When called to her tea by her brother, sho was diseoverod lying in a pool of blood. Dr. Simpson wa& summoned, but he could only pronounce life extinct. Constablo Macgregor, of Annat, was informed of tho occurrence. An inquest was to have been held yesterday. "The news of Miss Reveley's death came as a shock to the community, amoncst whom sho Mas well known and highly respected. Sho had been in indifferent health for some weeks, anel it is believed a sudden recurrence of her illness partly unhinged hor mind. Great sympathy is expressed for tho girl's parents and relatives, who aro old residents in tho district.

An inquest was held at Woodgrovo on Friday touching tho death of Josenh Rountree. Dr. C. P. W. Littlo, J.P., acted as coroner, and Mr J. O'Carroll was chosen foreman of tho jury. The verdict was that the deceased met his death by accidentally falling off a loaded dray, a wheel of the dray passing over his head and crushing it. No blame was attachable to anyone. Constable Gouldins, of Culverden. represented the police nt tho inquest.
