c KATAPOI REGATTA. . Bad weather conditions marred the success of tho Kaiapoi Rejratta, which waa held on the "Waimakariri on Saturday. Tho attcr.danco of tho public, owing- to tho inclement weather, was practically nil. The regatta officials cut out of tho programme all local swimming, motor fcrnt, and rowing races, leaving only those race 3in which outsido crows wero competing. Tho motor boat competitors, decided to hold a raco, of their own. Even in those events that wero held tho entrica 1 w«r« small, and several crews scratched.
