AUCKLAND, March L ■ A young man named Raymond Fitauuiurice was crushed to death between two timber trucks when travelling on I tho Tariiigainutu Company's timber line yesterday. A girl named Ellen Henry ? aged 16, tho daughter of a Taupiri resident, was i cleaning a stove on Tuesday with blacklecd and turpentine,, when tbe turpentine ignited. She rushed f roro the house enveloped in flames. Hei mother smothered the flames a blanket, and was herself badly burned. i The girl died on Wednesday. WELLINGTON, -March 1. 'Rone. Jupp, aged lo months, tho daughter of a tram conductor, died in tho hospital to-day from a fractured skull, caused through pulling a table on top of herself. The unknown man who-was,knocked down by a tramcar in Willis street on Thursday evening: and had his skul! fractured, died to-night. No evidence aa to identification has been forthcotn- , ing.'. ' , •■■■■■■■■-.-■■ fcjarah Jameson, who was to have been charged with helpless drunkenness at the Magistrate's Court, was found dead in the Lambton Quay police colla this morning. At tho inquest it was stated that the woman was only rer cently discharged from the Pakatoa Inebriates Home, and since her return had been drinking heavily. Sho had continually -be-on through the police hands. A verdict of death from syncopo was returned.
