SYDNEY, February _9, In the Legislative Assembly Mr Dacey, in moving th© second reading of the Housing Bill, declared that the scheme would cause UO great drain ort the labour market. For every tradesman required on th© scheme one would be brought from, England to replace him. He proposed to erect a garden city and to oler the people a healthy life. No hotels would be allowed within the area. He considered it equally necessary tot the Government to construct houses as to Construct railways. The scheme would cost £500,000, and between -00 and 900 houses Would be erected. One of the Labour members came into collision with the Chair, and was removed from the y chamber. .The second reading Was carried.
