Tho "Dominion" states that the Auckland cricketers who were playing in Wellington this week, thought it somewhat unsportsmanlike on the part of the Canterbury Association to rush their challengo in this season, and, if tho gamo had been insisted upon, the Aucklanders would have had to put a very weak team in the field. It would havo been impossible for most of the players who havo been on tour to got leave for three, or possibly four, days for another cricket match. .
