" TO THK EDITO- 0» "THB PRESS." Sir, —T wonld like to draw the attention of the civic authorities to the present state of Madras street north, St. Albans, the part of tlio road between Edge-ware road and "Winton street (near St. Albans Park). The portion referred to reminds one of a riverbed, and I think if tho Council authorised their steam roller to _o over the road a few times only, it would materially improve the street, and they would bo earning the blessing of many who have to use this portion of St. Albans daily.— ' Yours, etc., LONG STTFFERER.
