TROUBLES OP THE LIBERALS. (special to "the pkess'M. WELLINGTON, February 25. There is nothing now in the political situation, since I tolegraphed on Friday night. It is generally presume*! that Jfr Atmore- will voto against Wardism, and, as Mr Robertson seems likoly to break his pledge, tbia would leave the issue in the hands of Mr Veitch, the Labour member for Wauganui, who received the support of tho Reform Party at tho second ballot. It is now a Houso very much divided against and thoro will bo no end of troublo about tho appointment of a leader after Sir Joseph Ward'-i promised resignation has been handed in. The party maj; bo unablo to agreo on ihe point, «o it is quito on the cards that Sir Joseph Ward may yet be asked to lead a reconstructed Cabinet.
