(rBESS ASSOCIATION- TELECIUM.) WELLINGTON, February 11. The Old Boys' Amateur Swimming Club held its carnival on Saturday afternoon, in fino weather. Solomans, of Sydney, won both events in which ho competed, establishing in both rases better limes than had previously been done here, ilia time m the 50yds event (25 2-sth sec) is nearly 2seo better than nnything that has been accomplished hi Wellington before, and his timo of 60 l-sth see in the 100 yds is well under tho New Zealand record of 63sec. Owing to the residential clause of the Tecofd regulations, which provide for two months' residence, this timo cannot receive official recognition.
