MISS MARIE BAINES.
The unfortunate delay which prevented Miss Marie Bainee from opening her season in Christchurch on Boxing Night is not to prevent the Cliristchurch public from seeing "and hearing her. Telegraphing from Taihape, on her way South yesterday, she says:— "Convey to the theatrical public ' of Christchurch my regret at- the vexatious delay that prevented my fulfilling my engagement on Tuesday night. Also thank them and the Christchuren Comedy Club for their kindly consideration under annoying, but..purely, unavoidable, circumstances. I shall be with you on Friday, and en Monday I and my company wfll give" you in payment of a debt of gratitude our brightest and best.—-IXlario Baines." Miss Baines will definitely open her season on Monday in a revised version of "Miss Lancashire, Limited," iv which room has been made for her many versatile specialties. The bos plan is open at the Dresden.
