The usual fortnightly- stock sal© was held at Teinu_a on Tuesday, when xhere was a very small entry of stock. There was good competition for fat stock, but only moderate offers for stores. Prices ieahsed were: —Fat steers, £8, £8 ss, £9, £9 10s, £10 to £11 10s; fat cows and heifers, £7 2s 6d £7 10s, £8, £8 ss; storo steers and heifers, £2 15s, £3, £3 10s, £4, £5, £5 10s; milch cows £6 ss, £6 10s, £7 ss, £7 15s, £8/ £9 15s; fat lambs, 14s 4d, 14s 6d; fat ewes, 14s, 15s, 15s 4d, 14s 7d, 12s 6d, two and four-tooth ewes, 15s 8d; ewes and lambs, 8s Id. T. E. Shiel and Co., fruit, produce, and grain auctioneers, Dunedin, report for tho week ending 20th December: — Peas, exceedingly scarce; to-day's value 3Jd lb. Consignments strongly recommended till tho end of the week. French beans, 4£d lb. Cucumbers 7s doz. ' Christehuroh hothouso tomatoes, lOd to Is lb. Asparagus, pound bunches, 5s 6d doz. Cherries, choice, lid lb. Gooseberries, large dessert, 4.d lb. Hothouso grapes, 3s lb. New potatoes, 10s cwt. Cauliflowers, 6s to 7s sack. .Cabbages. 4s 9d to 5s sack. Wo are experiencing a strong demand, and from- now at any rate till Saturday next we advise regular consignments.
