Durdop, the remaining' member, ie expected here next week by tho Maheno. K. 1L l. stun, who hits been selected to practice with the Australasian team, came over fxom Sydney with Rice. J. C. Peacock, New Zealand champion, came down from. Wellington yesterday with tho view of practising for tho New Zealand championships. Brookes and Heath, of the Australasian I team, are putting in zojjular practice on Mr W. Gobs's courts at Merivale, and on the United ' Club's courts in Haglcy Park Lamed,' Beale C. Wright, and McLoughlin, tho Americans, are practising ste&dily on the courta prepared for their use at Sunnyeide. Applications for reserved seats have been seoeivod from Tarious parta of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania., Townsville, Rockhampton and Adelaide, and from all "parts of New Zealand from Auckland to the Jjluif, and it is erident that the gathering of tennis entbusiaete in Christchurch during the coming holidays will be very representative.. Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward hare intimated their intention of being present.
