There was good competition in all quarters, especially for merinos. There was a, buoyant tone throughout tho series. Competition and prices were steadily sustained. The Germans were keen operators, chiefly 7 in merinos, and the Americans particularly operated in crossbreds. There was an excellent representation of moVinos. Scoureds were fully fivo per cent above September rates, best greasy combings were at par, and faulties par to five per-cent, below. Good lots of medium, shabby crossbreds were ten per cent, .above, and' fine crossbreds, > also slipes and scoureds, five per cent, above September rates. Lambs sold at par. At the wool sales there was. spirited competition at full rat£>s.,
