H Woods, R.N., and Miss Rubi Seddon, youngest daughter of Mrs It. J. .Scddon. A large number of invitations havo been issued, and the gathering of Now Zealanders, will be ono of tho most comprehensive ever Keen in London. Tho brido will bo given away by her brother, Captain R. J. S. Seddon, and she will be attended by 'Miss Russell (Wellington) and Miss Boanchamp (Wellington) as bridesmaids, and tho Misses Morley (granddaughters of Mr J. B. Heywood, 1j5.0.) as train-bearers. The ceremony > will bo performed by tho Rev Dr. Lindsay, a cousin of the late Prime Minister of Now Zealand, assisted by tho Roy. Sclwyn Bean, nophow of tho Itev. W. S. Bean, of Christchurch, tho bride's brother-in-law. Tho reception will bo held nt Durham House, lent for the occasion by Mrs Muecko (Madaino Ada Crossloy). ■ Madame Botfcy Brooke, who is still pinging with very great success in New York, is about to start a club to be called The Southern Cross Club. There are many New'Zealanders in New York, and the Club is expected to attract a largo number .'of members. • •f Sir Arthur H. Adams is receiving a gcod deal of attention for his new novel. "A Touch of Fantasy."- Several reviewers regard him as a writer who has to bo watched.
