HOME RULE.

,< —« ; —. ■ STRONG SPEECH BY THE

UNIONIST LEAB-ER,

United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright.

(Received December Bth, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, December 8.

Mr Bonar Law, speaking at Beetle, emphasised .tho fact that it would be utterly impossible for Home Rule to be carried as part of tho Liberals' corrupt political bargain. He remarked that . although the Unionists might grant that Home Rule, from a party standpoint, would be of advantage to them; inasmuch as the Nationalists had voted solidly against them, the Unionists were determined to oppose Home Rule to the last gasp, and when the timo came there would be no shrinking from strong action to defeat ono of tho most ignoble conspiracies ever formed against tho liberties of free-born men.
