SPRINGSTON.
A terrific thundorstorni was oxj>erienoed here in the early hours of Friday morning. 'The lightning was very vivid, "but the storm ivas characterised by tho intensity of the thunder claps, which came tome time after tho flash and sliook the houses very violently. The storm lasted for upwards of a counlo of hours, and was accompanied by neavy rain.
