Mr Lewis Haroourt presided at Mr Redmond's Homo Rule demonstration at Rawtenstall.

Mr Redmond said that Ireland only asked for a subordinate Parliament, and was willing that the Imperial Parliament should remain unimpaired, in order to curb tho Irish should they abuse their powers. Irishmen would prefer to remain

in tho Imperial Parliament in numbors to be decided by England's own wisdom.
