Tho candidates from the other centres aro:—Auckland, Mr Allan Wallace. li.A.; Canterbury, Sir L. S. Jennings, M.Sc: and Otago Mr M. Ongley, Jd.A. Tho selection will probably bo mado next month. At the last meeting of tho Leeston Methodist Guild. Mrs J. Quigley waa presented with a silver sugar bowl in recognition of her work in connection with tho Guild.
At a recent meeting of tho Committco tit tno Canterbury Shcopowners' Union a Jotter was received firora Mr C. P. Hugonin, tendering his resignation as a Member of tho Executive owing to his rornoval from Canterbury. Tho resignation of Mr Hugonin, who had been a mom!.or of tho .Executive for tho past , wven years, was accepted tvith regret. Mr VV. F. Parkinson was elected on the Executive, in -Mr Hugonin's place.
