INTERESTING TO DEER. STALKERS.
There i& occasionally home rnismuipratanding of tho law as it applies to the ammunition used by deerstalkers in New Zealand Clause 7 of the "Animals Protection Act of 1907" is, however, very clear:— It shall bo unlawful to use, for the purpose of taking or killing any deer, moose, elk, of other animal declared to be imported game, any metalpatched or metal-casod bullet: Provided that this provision shall not apply to the use of tho bullet known as tho expansive or mushroom bullet.
The proper cartridge for deerstalkers is the Colonial Ammunition Company's Special Soft-nose .303.
