Of tho original entry of fourteen °nl? three horses have been withdrawn,, aw , the eleven now in the race are a high*, class lot, who will furnish a stirring contest. They have ali boon given » solid preparation, and the winner iriu have to put up very fast time. M •Franz is tho actual favourite at p*G" sent, but practically overy horse in tflj. race has a number of whole-hearted supporters. The fields in all the other events arc exceptionally good, and visitors to Addington will be given ample proof of the steadily increasing .popularity of trotting. The track is m capita! order, nnd the grounds themselves aro looking beautifully trim and neat. Since Inst Cup Meeting many improvements have been effected, and to meet the requirements of the investing public a new totalisator house has been built for the ten-shil-iinc business. This building is coianletc in every detail, and there should be no complaints of money being shut out from the machine.
