SYDENHAM PICTURES.
A fine selection of scenic alms was included in tho change of programme shown at tho Syduuiiam Empire on Saturday, and largo audiences assembled at both "tho afternoon and evening performances. "A Railway Panorama," •'Scenes in Innesbruck,' , "Lucerne," and '•Through Dutch East Indies" each contained very pretty scenery, and wore most interesting. Tho now dramatic studies were:—"Winning tho Step-Children," "A Stago Romanco ; " "Was JuGtico Served?" and "Betty becomes a Maid." Each of those items was of the popular order, and loud applause greeted each number. Of tho comic portion '.'Tilly tho Tomboy," "Tho Chemist's Wedding," "Mr Giddy , s Revenue," and "Tweedledum the Dectectiee," v.cto eery amusing pictures, ■which were responsible for much hearty laughter. Tho Empire orchestra contributed appropriate musical accompaniments. I'hc same programmo will bo ropeated to-night.
