THE SAN FRANCISCO ROUTE. United Press Association—By E'cctric Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, November 4. It is announced that tho Union Steam Ship Company intends to extend its Wellington-San Francisco sorvico to Sydney. The new steamer Tahiti will inaugurate tho service, sailing from Sydney on December 9th. The Maitai and Aoiangi will also bo employed, and a twenty-eight-day service ■will bo maintained. No definite decision has been come io respecting the Commonwealth subsidy, but probably a sum will bo voted.
