OTTAWA. October 29

Annual reports show that there was an increase in the consumption of liquor and tobacco in Canada last year. Per capita, tho consumption of spirits the previous year was 0.815 gallons. This increased last year to 0.859 gallons. The total quantity of tobacco consumed was 18,900,0001b, against 17,800,0001b the previous year.
