Cody, in a monoplane of his own invention, flew 255 miles at Aldershot for the Michelin Track Cup and a prize of £500. His average height was 1200 feet, and the average rate 51 miles an hour. During the last hour he had a continuous strugglo with a gusty wind, making it difficult to maintain his balance. On alighting he was carried shoulder high *o the garage.
